This Cookie Policy explains how Genvolve Private Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of India, and having its registered office at 212, 2nd Floor, Hare, Govind Complex, Zone-1, Shiksha Mandal, Bhopal, Huzur, Madhya Pradesh, India, 462011 (“Genvolve”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you access or use the Genvolve website, platform and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
1. What are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function properly, remember preferences, maintain security and understand how the website is used.
2. How Genvolve Uses Cookies
Genvolve currently uses only essential cookies required for authentication, security and session management. Genvolve does not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies or tracking cookies.
Genvolve does not use cookies for targeted advertising or behavioural advertising directed at children. Where cookies or similar technologies involve the collection or processing of personal data, Genvolve will process such personal data in accordance with applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable rules.

2.1 Local Storage and Session Storage
Genvolve also uses local storage and session storage to remember user preferences and maintain certain interface settings. These storage items are not used for analytics, advertising or tracking.

The per-child theme key contains a child ID but remains on-device.
3. Cookies Used by Third-Party Providers
Genvolve does not currently use third-party cookies on its domain.
Google OAuth is implemented through NextAuth’s server-side redirect flow and no Google JavaScript SDK is embedded on Genvolve’s pages. Google may set cookies on its own domain during authentication.
Stripe uses hosted Checkout for payment processing and does not set Stripe cookies on Genvolve’s domain. Stripe may set cookies on its own domain during the hosted Checkout process.
4. Analytics and Tracking
Genvolve does not currently use analytics tools, tracking pixels or similar tracking technologies on its website or Services. Genvolve does not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Mixpanel, PostHog, Segment, Amplitude, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity or Plausible.
Genvolve also does not use tracking pixels or beacon pixels in its transactional or other email communications.
5. Managing Cookies
The essential cookies used by Genvolve are required for authentication, security and session management and cannot be disabled through the Services without affecting functionality. Users may clear cookies, local storage or session storage through their browser settings. Clearing certain storage items may reset preferences or affect certain functionality.
For the child-facing Services, Genvolve will not use a separate cookie banner to obtain consent directly from the child. Non-essential cookies or similar technologies used in the child-facing Services will either be omitted or, where applicable, addressed through the parental verification and consent mechanism described in Genvolve’s Privacy Policy.
6. Children’s Privacy
Genvolve provides Services intended for children between 6 and 14 years of age under the supervision and control of a parent or legal guardian.
Genvolve does not use cookies or similar technologies to track or behaviourally monitor children or for targeted advertising directed at children. Where cookies or similar technologies involve the processing of a child’s personal data, Genvolve will process such data in accordance with applicable law and the parental verification and consent requirements described in Genvolve’s Privacy Policy.
7. Changes to this Cookie Policy
Genvolve may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Services, applicable law or the technologies used. Any updated version will be made available through the Services with the revised “Last Updated” date.
